Nick Taylor recalls —
“My father, Ted Taylor, a professional musician, arranger, and producer, started recording at Porcupine in 1961, when he had a room built for his Steinway piano. I was lucky enough to work with him for many years before he died. Being a musicians’ studio, we tended toward music that musicians play, and that’s jazz.”
