There were the saxophones wailing, the drums beating, the bass and keyboards dishing out beautifully crafted strings of notes. Then Michele Anastasio took the stage. She knocked the socks off the audience. For Myself, she knocked off my socks and my shoes and I had to go home barefoot. With a voice as clear as a baccarat crystal, as strong as a summer storm, as rich and smooth as a single-malt scotch, she sang beyond her heart and deep into her soul. It was mesmerizing. Listening later to the CD she recorded in London, I got goosebumps!
